Brits switching to online banking

Nearly a quarter of Brits access their banking records online every day, according to research from the Payments Council.

Its campaign Pay YOUR Way found that two-thirds of adults in the UK say online banking is their preferred way of managing their finances.

Furthermore, 39 per cent of the UK population claim they check their account on the internet weekly.

Sandra Quinn, from the Pay YOUR Way campaign, said: "We all lead busy lives and managing your money online is a great and safe way of saving valuable time, while being able to keep an eye on our finances as often as we like."

She added that as technology has changed it is good to see that people are becoming confident using the internet for their banking.

Recently, Taming the Pound told the public that it is imperative during the current economic climate that they keep track of and prioritise their finances.
