There are still holiday activities 'despite credit crunch'

Despite reports of a credit crunch, there are still many opportunities for families to have fun this summer, it was suggested recently.
Many people turn to loans and credit cards when they start to feel the financial pinch but low-budget options can help children to stay occupied over the holidays, said former Wimbledon champion Annabel Croft.
Getting kids involved in healthy and positive sports or games can be a great idea and membership of a health club in the summer months can open up a lot more choices for families tightening the purse strings, she added.
According to David Lloyd Leisure, three-quarters of people are worried about the price of summer holiday activities and a quarter ran out of ideas for how to entertain their offspring.
But speaking about David Lloyd Leisure's offer Croft explained: "The maximum it will cost is about £59 for a family membership for the whole of two weeks and I could easily spend that in a couple of days with my children."
Croft said not everyone will want to try the same sport so having different ones available means families can find what suits them best, particularly if the British weather remains gloomy.
