As Glastonbury approaches, music-lovers are being urged to leave their credit cards at home.
Zurich has revealed that festival-goers in the UK are putting over £3 billion's worth of personal possessions at risk.
The insurer states that nearly one in ten people have had items stolen whilst listening to their favourite bands.
It claims people at festivals carry items worth an average of £260, including mobile phones, cameras and iPods.
Mike Quinton from Zurich has said that people should only take the essentials and has advised festival-goers to leave credit cards at home or just take one for emergencies.
He added: "One in four British adults said they were planning on attending a festival this summer and it would be all too easy to get swept up in the summer spirit and forget to take even the simplest of precautions with their belongings."
In other news, a survey by NS&I has found that Brits tend to blow their holiday budget when abroad.
