Older people told to check extra costs on travel insurance

Older people looking to take out travel insurance have been warned to watch out for any extra costs that may be added to their policy.
According to Staysure.co.uk, Brits should look for providers that offer them an online screening service to ensure the cover is right for them.
The website added that it is important for travellers to find a company that also includes protection for medical conditions free of charge.
Stewart Rioch, general manager for travel insurance products at Staysure.co.uk, said: "Whilst most UK insurers provide cover to travellers over 65, there is a distinction in recognising the needs of the older traveller.
"Around 60 per cent of policies for seniors include at least one traveller with pre-existing medical conditions."
Recently, a survey from Which? revealed that a quarter of firms can consider people in their 60s too old to insure and that nine out of ten companies will not provide cover for Brits in their 80s.
