Life insurance customers have been told that it is extremely important to get a will written properly to avoid any arguments in the future.
According to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), it is important that people make the right decisions when choosing to write a will.
Keith Johnston, director of philanthropy at STEP, said: "The easy answer is to say get someone who is qualified to write your will so they don’t make any silly mistakes which can be disputed in court. Look out for the initials TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) as these denote a specialist."
He added that it is essential that a client also has a full mental capacity when making a will, to avoid potential disputes about who gets the money.
Recently, the Society of Will Writers told the public that it is important for everyone to have a will in place irrelevant of a person's financial situation and background.
