Life insurance owners told Brits stress about hospital stay...

Life insurance customers have been told that one in three people feel stressed about the extra expense they could incur if they stay in hospital.

This is according to research from Medicash, which found that many Brits are worried about paying out for car parking, TV cards, travel expenses and medication.

Furthermore, its research revealed that on average people in employment stated that their average loss of earnings was £190 per day during a hospital stay.

Sue Weir, chief executive at Medicash, said: "The survey demonstrates that the true cost of being ill is far higher than people realise and people are being affected by stress which can severely impact on their recovery."

Recently, Sainsbury's finance revealed that over 60 per cent of Brits admit to not renewing their life insurance cover.

David Cook, from the company, added that overlooking this type of policy could leave many families facing financial difficulties if something happened to the breadwinner of the household.
