Life insurance provides Brits with peace of mind

Life insurance can provide people with invaluable peace of mind financially, according to Aviva.

The company noted that many families in the UK worry about unexpected expenses, however, research has highlighted that 61 per cent of parents do not have a policy in place.

Louise Colley, head of protection at Aviva, said: "Families are under a wide variety of financial pressures but protection policies, such as life insurance, can provide a bedrock of financial security.

"Having life insurance cover in place, families can know that in the sad event of a loss of income through death, there is one less thing to worry about."

She added that premiums can cost under £10 per month and provide invaluable peace of mind for anyone with financial dependents.

Recently, Aviva announced that during the first six months of 2011 the company saw a five per cent increase in operating profits when compared with the year before.

On top of this, its life insurance earnings remained pretty stable for the same period.
