Over 13m Brits want to leave money to their nearest and...

Over 13 million Brits have stated that they want to leave enough money for their nearest and dearest to live comfortably once they pass away.

This is according to research by unbiased.co.uk, which revealed to life insurance customers that almost a third of people in the UK want their family to be financially safe when they have died.

Furthermore, one in ten would like to fund their child or grandchild through university.

However, over 29 million Brits do not have a will in place, despite wanting to leave money to different family members.

"Our latest research reveals that people have a clear idea of what they want to leave, and to whom, after they pass away but millions are still neglecting to write a will and make their plans official," said, Karen Barrett, chief executive of unbiased.co.uk.

Meanwhile, confused.com revealed that over 50 per cent of Brits do not have a life insurance policy in place.
