The government's plans to raise the retirement age of women has been labelled "unfair" and "discriminatory".
This is according to Age UK, which claims that the coalition's Pensions Bill will leave over 300,000 ladies worse off when it comes to their retirement.
On top of this, the charity has called on the government to support a fairer legislation rather than punishing thousands of women.
Michelle Mitchell, charity director at Age UK, said: "If the government returns to the coalition pledge of not starting to raise women's state pension age to 66 until 2020, they will still make savings of £20 billion compared to current legislation."
Recently, Dr Ros Altmann, director general of the Saga Group, noted that parliament could make the proposed legislation better and fairer for UK employees.
The expert added that the government could tweak the Pensions Bill to improve the effects that it will have on women when they retire.
