Savers 'have big plans for pensions'

A new poll has shown one in 50 people saving a pension would like to try space travel when they retire.
The survey, which was carried out for MGM Advantage, surveyed more than 3,000 people and discovered not all retirement planning involved out-of-this-world dreams.
It found 42 per cent of respondents intend to take more holidays when they finish work, while 24 per cent would like to spend their retirement travelling around the world.
One in thirty women also told the survey that their pensions could be put towards cosmetic surgery.
In a statement, the firm pointed out that these plans need to be paid for and recommended people seek the help of an independent financial advisor.
The company concluded: "So forget the giant leap for mankind, it seems the first small step towards walking on the moon is making an appointment with an independent financial adviser."
Earlier this month, a poll from Scottish Widows suggested claims 49 per cent of the UK is not putting enough in their pensions to cover their retirement.
