Beat inflation with cheap city breaks

Travel insurance customers on the lookout for a city break to beat inflation rates should look to a number of capitals around the world for value for money.
Research from M&S Money has discovered that the best money saving holidays can be found in Istanbul. The Turkish capital has reversed the effect of inflation and three day breaks there are ten per cent cheaper now than they were a year ago.
The best priced short distance holidays can be found in Prague, where prices have essentially remained static. Holidaymakers can expect to pay an average £591 for a break in the Czech capital.
Paul Stokes, head of travel money, M&S Money, said: "Autumn is always a popular time for city breaks and right now, there are some great value destinations to take advantage of, thanks to lower inflation and favourable exchange rates."
Earlier this week, the Association of British Travel Agents said that Brits were now looking for environmentally rated holidays more than ever before.
